Sridevi encourages Ajith’s heroine

Maheshwari Ayyappan, best known for her role opposite Ajith in Ullasam, has launched a fashion label called Mahe Ayyappan which was inaugurated by Bollywood diva Sridevi Boney Kapoor in Hyderabad two days ago. Maheshwari revealed that it was Sridevi who encouraged her and gave wings to the fashionista in her. “Sridevi has been endorsing most of my designs. She really liked them and asked to go ahead and start my own fashion label. It was her encouragement that motivated me to take this big leap. She has always been a huge source of strength and inspiration,” says Maheshwari.

Maheshwari is Sridevi’s cousin and has designed costumes for Sridevi on many occasions before including her advertisements. “I have been wearing clothes designed by Maheshwaro for many years now. This dress I’m wearing is also designed by her. I always call her first when looking for something to wear and I’m glad that she has finally taken it up seriously,” said Sridevi.
