Karthi’s Madras to follow Anjaan and Vanavarayan Vallavarayan?

The mismanagement of members in the Regional Censor Board in Chennai have left many Tamil producers to approach the Mumbai Censor Board to get their films certified in a timely manner. There are only seven members in the RCB in Chennai, which is insufficient going by the number of films getting released here every week, says a source. Recently censored films like Suriya’s Anjaan, Kreshna’s Vanavarayan Vallavarayan were certified by Mumbai Censor Board.

Bharatha’s ATSVS, which is due for release on August 22, was also awaiting its censor certification from RCB, but now the producer has applied to the Mumbai Censor Board to release the film on time. Karthi’s Madras directed by Pa. Ranjith is also waiting for the censorship procedure to hit the marquee. “If the crisis continues, we too will follow our peers and opt to go to Mumbai for getting our film censored,” says Gnanavel Raja to a daily.
