Why Dhanush refused to play Vijay’s brother?

Speaking at the audio launch event of Sarathkumar’s Sanadamarutham, director Venkatesh revealed that Dhanush was approached to play Vijay’s brother in Bagavathy, but he promptly denied the offer. “I’m acting as a lead hero in Kadhal Kondein. I want to continue playing lead roles. His determination and confidence surprise me,” told Venkatesh at the event.
