Speaking at the audio launch of Asuran, “Kalaipuli S Thanu didn’t even sit for Asuran’s narration. Just Vetrimaaran’s name was enough for him to give the nod. That’s the faith he has in Vetrimaaran. Vetrimaaran always writes the characters with lots of scope to perform. I consider myself fortunate to get to do a character like this in my thirties.”
He further added, “Vetrimaaran and his team have given me a great platform. I always liked Manju Warrier and wanted to work with her for a long time. Teejay’s songs never failed to impress. Youngsters these days are so competitive and talented. It’s always a delight to work with GV, he has given great rustic music for the film. Before Asuran I thought Vada Chennai as Vetrimaaran’s best but bow I think it is Asuran. The Tamil audiences expressed their disappointment when Vada Chennai didn’t get recognized at the National Film Awards. That’s bigger than receiving the national award.”
Asuran is slated to hit screens on October 4th.
