World premiere of documentary film on AR Rahman

The world premiere of the documentary film on AR Rahman, Jai Ho, was screened at the Museum of the Moving Image in New York. The documentary talks about Rahman’s life and career without doling out over-the-top treatment on his accomplishments and awards. It is directed by national award winning producer-director Umesh Aggarwal. “We are honored to be hosting A R Rahman, an icon of Indian music, and the world premiere of Jai Ho,” said David Schwartz, the Museum’s Chief Curator.

AR Rahman’s next album is Mani Ratnam’s Ok Kanmani, which likely to be launched sometime this month. He has already composed three songs for Gautham Menon – Simbu’s Achacham Enbathu Madamaiyada and has signed Suriya – Vikram Kumar’s adventure thriller 24.
