Vijay asked me to direct: Editor Anthony

While editor Anthony’s directorial debut with the official remake of Malayalam film Shutter is underway, he reveals his motivation factor behind his decision to wield the megaphone. Interestingly, it was director Vijay who instilled confidence in Anthony to call the shots.

“I’ve known Vijay from the days of Lesa Lesa he assisted Priyadarshan, and from then on we’ve been good friends. Four years ago, Vijay and I planned to do a film together, titled Jagathalapradhaban. In fact, we’d even decided to rope in Yuhi Sethu for the project. But then, it was shelved. Then, just a few months ago, Vijay asked me to watch Shutter, and later, asked me if I’d direct the Tamil remake. I immediately agreed,” reveals Anthony in this interview.
