Vetrimaaran acquires film adaptation rights for ‘Shoes of the Dead’

Vetrimaaran’s Grasss Root Film Company has acquired the film adapation rights for the book Shoes Of The Dead written by journalist Kota Neelima. The book deals about horrifying suicides of farmers and the politics around it. “This is a book that I feel needs to be made into a film,” said Vetrimaaran.

The film adaptation will be written and directed by Vetrimaaran. The resounding success of Visaaranai, which is also a partial adaptation of the book Lock Up, has already raised expectations among film buffs for Shoes Of The Dead. It has to be seen whether Vetrimaaran starts this project before or after Vada Chennai.
