Uttama Villain will release before Vishwaroopam 2: Kamal Haasan

Kamal Haasan has finally made it official that his next release will be Ramesh Arvind directed Uttama Villain and not his magnum-opus Vishwaroopam 2. When you track the genre of films in Kamal Haasan’s filmography, he always used to deliver a comical right after a serious subject. Now, Uttama Villain is all set for release after Vishwaroopam. “There are some very funny moments, but it is not a full-fledged comedy. I think it is all in the audience’s mind. I like doing comedies but I have never consciously done it. Vishwaroopam II is in post production. There is a lot of computer graphics that needs to be done. As far as the logistics go, Uttama Villain will release first,” says Kamal Haasan.

The audio launch of Uttama Villain is planned to release next month and the film will most likely hit the screens for the Gandhi Jayanti weekend. It will clash with Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif starrer Bang Bang Bang which will have a simultaneous release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Meanwhile, Kamal Haasan is busy shooting Papanasam, remake of the acclaimed Malayalam film Drishyam.
