Thalaivan Thalaivi release date announced: Vijay Sethupathi & Nithya Menen return in romantic comedy on July 25
The much-anticipated Thalaivan Thalaivi release date is officially here! Starring Vijay Sethupathi and Nithya Menen, the Tamil romantic comedy is set to hit theatres on July 25. This marks the second on-screen collaboration between the two acclaimed actors after their Malayalam film 19(1)(a).
Directed by Pandiraj and produced by Sathya Jyothi Films, Thalaivan Thalaivi boasts a talented ensemble cast including Chemban Vinod Jose, Yogi Babu, Kaali Venkat, RK Suresh, Mynaa Nandhini, and Arul Doss.
The film’s teaser, released earlier, hints at a “rugged love story” filled with humor and everyday tension. Vijay Sethupathi plays Akaashaveeran, a restaurant owner whose spirited exchanges with wife Perarasi (Menen) come to a boil over a plate of kothu parotta. In preparation for the role, Sethupathi reportedly trained with real-life parotta experts in Tamil Nadu to bring authenticity to his performance.
