TFPC warns exhibitors’ association on Paayum Puli release

After the exhibitors association pulled out their ‘Red’ weapon against Paayum Puli citing that the compensation for Lingaa loss is not received yet from Vendhar Movies, a statement from Tamil Film Producers’ Council has warned the theater owners.

“We strongly condemn this decision of exhibitors’ association, which has been taken privately. TFPC is not informed about it either. Restricting a film’s release is depriving the business rights of an individual. Boycotting Paayum Puli based on the losses incurred by Lingaa is not ethical. They should lift the ban soon otherwise the matter will be dealt in a democratic manner by taking it to the notice of state government,” reads a statement from TFPC.
