Salim gets thumbs up from Muslim community

Vijay Antony’s recently released film Salim, where he plays a do-gooder, has received appreciation from Muslim community. The film recovered the minimum guarantee in five days of its release, says Vijay Antony. Salim and Irumbu Kuthirai clashed head-on last Friday; the latter was opened to lukewarm reviews and the former to fairly good reviews. “Our success proves that movies with good content will run despite the piracy threat. And many Muslims have appreciated the movie and are happy with the way the hero’s role is projected,” says Vijay Antony to a daily.

He also thanked his wife Fathima for her continuous support during the release. “She has always been a pillar of support for all my endeavors,” he says. Vijay Antony is currently busy working on his next film India Pakistan, a comedy. He also confirmed that he will release the third part of Naan in 2015. Vijay Antony has decided to focus more on acting and reduce composing music for films.
