Nerkonda Paarvai secures career-best opening in Chennai for Thala Ajith
Thala Ajith’s bold Nerkonda Paarvai has scored a fantastic opening day gross of Rs. 1.58 crores in Chennai city, marking the actor’s career-best figure ever. The film dethroned Thalapathy Vijay’s Mersal to become the fourth-best opening day grosser in Chennai after 2.0, Sarkar and Kaala.
Nerkonda Paarvai has also registered 2019’s best opening in Chennai city, outshining biggest Pongal releases in Superstar Rajinikanth’s Petta and Ajith’s Viswasam. The film has earned Rs 14.8 crores in TN on day one.
