Mohanlal’s multi-lingual epic Randamoozham shelved; producer confirms

Producer BR Shetty has confirmed that Mohanlal’s multi-lingual epic Randamoozham has been shelved due to differences between veteran writer MT Vasudevan Nair and director VA Shrikumar Menon.

Shetty had earlier said that Randamoozham will start rolling in July 2019. Mohanlal was supposed to play the role of Bheema in the film, which was billed as India’s most expensive production at a whopping cost of Rs. 1000 crore.

The project was planned to be made in English, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, and Telugu. Now, sources say Shrikumar Menon is still on the lookout for a suitable producer to bankroll the magnum-opus.

The movie was supposed to be an adaptation of novel Randamoozham written by M.T. Vasudevan Nair, who had also written the screenplay.
