“Mersal has 13 to 14 action blocks in the film,” says director Atlee

Director Atlee said Mersal has nearly 13 to 14 action sequences in the movie. Speaking at the audio launch which happened yesterday in the city, Atlee said, “Vijay sir is the only reason for this project to happen. When I told him about the debutant cinematographer Vishnu, he had no qualms about it and gave me complete freedom to choose my team.”

“We have forgotten a lot of important traditions of Tamil culture and heritage. Mersal revolves around that. I saw Vijay Anna’s maximum effort for this film. I shot a sequence in an open ground with 3ooo people in Rajasthan where the temperature was greater than 50 degrees. I had tears in my eyes when he did those scenes. He’s doing everything he can to walk the extra mile for his fans,” said Atlee.

Atlee also confirmed that the teaser of the film will be released in two weeks’ time. The movie is confirmed to hit screens for Diwali and the entire team is working round the clock to finish the post-production work in time.
