Lingaa to release on Rajinikanth’s birthday 12/12/14

Lingaa directed by KS Ravikumar has Rajinikanth, Anushka Shetty and Sonakshi Sinha in lead roles. The shooting for the film is progressing at a brisk speed and one can trust veteran filmmaker KS Ravikumar to release the film without any hiccups. ATMUS Entertainment, one of the largest distributors of Tamil film in the USA has revealed that the makers are planning to release the film on Rajinikanth’s birthday, 12/12/14 which falls on Friday.

“The overseas demand for theatrical rights is heavy. Unprecedented prices being offered for the film,” says ATMUS. If the sources are to be believed, Rajinikanth will have two releases this year. Earlier, Soundarya Rajinikanth also planned to release Kochadaiyaan on her father’s birthday but could not fulfill her promise due to a myriad number of set-backs. KS Ravikumar is a maverick filmmaker who hardly fails to keep up his word. Will he do it for Thalaivar fans?
