Is Thuppakki 2 on cards?

Speculations are rife in the tinsel town that Thuppakki 2 is on cards. After Tamil magazine Kungumam reported that Lyca approached AR Murugadoss to direct the sequel to the blockbuster film, reports in a section of the media emerged that Muruadoss will helm the sequel after completing his next with Mahesh Babu.

However, sources in the industry deny the news. “Murugadoss has always dodged the question on Thuppakki sequel in film-related events too because he is not very inclined to make a sequel. He will be happy to direct Vijay in a fresh script though,” says a source. We have to wait and watch how this interesting development pans out in the coming months.
