Idhu Namma Aalu eyes Pongal release

If everything goes well, director Pandiraj will have a double dhamaka for this Pongal since two of his films – Idhu Namma Aalu and Kathakali are vying for release on the same day. While Kathakali has been officially confirmed with posters, the makers of Idhu Namma Aalu are yet to confirm.

Already, Oru Naal Koothu, Aranmanai 2 and Thaara Thappattai are eyeing for Pongal to cash in on the long festival weekend. Pongal is one of the most crucial festival weekends for Tamil industry and it’s quite natural for producers to capitalize on the same. We have to wait and see the final list of films that see the light of day on the harvest festival.
