Sun TV acquires Miruthan

Sun TV has snapped the satellite rights of Miruthan, which is boasted as Tamil cinema’s first zombie film. The team is on the brink of completing the project and begin post production soon. The audio launch is expected to happen mid-December. Sun TV is known for their aggresive promotions to cater viewers and Miruthan team will certainly benefit from the strategy considering it’s a new genre for Tamil viewers.

Directed by Shakti Rajan and produced by Global Infotainment, Miruthan features Jayam Ravi and Lakshmi Menon in the lead roles. The film is officially confirmed to hit screens for Pongal. Other films eyeing for Pongal release include Thaarai Thappattai, Idhu Namma Aalu, Kathakali and Oru Naal Koothu.
