Dhanush plays national level carrom player in Vada Chennai

Director Vetrimaaran has revealed in his latest interview to Tamil magazine Vikatan that Dhanush will be seen playing the role of a national level carrom player who aspires to become a champion in Vada Chennai, which is currently in the post-production phase.

Dhanush’s character name is Anbu in the film, whose story revolves around the life of people inhabiting a particular area in North Madras over a period of 35 years. How the death of a towering political leader creates a rift within the party, which later gets divided into two groups and its stark repercussions also form a part of the plot.

Produced by Lyca Productions and Wunderbar Films, Vada Chennai features Aishwarya Rajesh and Andrea Jeremiah in important roles. Samuthirakani, Daniel Balaji, Ameer, Kishore play pivotal roles in the film, which has music composed by Santhosh Narayanan.
