Deepika Padukone wants to work with Mani Ratnam

Deepika Padukone, who was recently in the city to promote her nex film Happy New Year, has expressed her desire to work with Mani Ratnam. She also confirms she didn’t receieve any concrete offers from Kollywood after Rajinikanth’s Kochadaiiyaan. “I am open to any language, provided I get an exciting offer. There has to be something in the script that fascinates me and I am particular about the filmmakers with I am collaborating. I want to work with Mani Ratnam in Tamil. I did get an offer from him in the past, but it didn’t materialise,” reveals Deepika Padukone.

Directed by Farah Khan, Happy New Year, which is likely to be released in a major chunk of screens in Tamil Nadu in Hindi, will take Vijay’s Kaththi and Vishal’s Poojai head-on at the box-office. Happy New Year also Shah Rukh Khan and Abishek Bachchan in important roles.
