Chennai City: Bigil stays strong on day 2, almost equals day 1 gross

Thalapathy Vijay starrer Bigil almost equalled its day 1 gross of 1.79 crores in the Chennai city area by hopping its way onto a number of 1.73 crores on day 2. The film has got off to a majestic opening in the area, with packed screens all over.

Bigil is expected to make merry on both Sunday and Monday, which are the Diwali holidays as declared by the government. It will be interesting to see whether the film can get past the 7-7.5 crore mark by Monday, which will make it nothing short of a phenomenal opening.
