Telugu distribution rights for Mani Ratnam’s next secured

With the film yet to go on the floors, the theatrical rights of Mani Ratnam’s yet-untitled next project, which stars Karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari as leads, are selling like hot cakes. While Sri Thenandal Films acquired the Tamil distribution rights weeks back, popular Telugu producer Bandla Ganesh Babu has secured the Telugu rights and will release the film under his banner Parameswara Art Productions.

The principal shooting is likely to commence towards the end of June or early July once Karthi wraps up Kashmora. According to sources, Mani Ratnam recently conducted a recce in Sri Nagar, Kashmir to shoot some important scenes. Karthi essays the role of an NRI pilot and Aditi reportedly plays a doctor.
