Jigarthanda postponed again, Siddharth lashes out at producers; complains foul-play

Jigarthanda has been postponed once again without any proper reasons given. Directed by Karthik Subburaj, it has Siddharth and Lakshmi Menon in lead roles. The film was earlier scheduled as a summer release but got postponed without any official reasons given. Later, reports surfaced that Karthik is hell-bent on not trimming scenes to favor the producer, who desperately seeks a U certificate from the censor board.

But, it looks like there is more to Jigarthanda’s postponement than what meets our eyes. “There is foul play afoot. For reasons unbeknownst to us somebody is trying to postpone Jigarthanda. Karthik and I need all your support,” tweeted Siddharth last night.

Now, in a series of tweets he has confirmed that the film has been postponed once again. He is furious and helpless, lashes out at producers.

Sorry Jigarthanda fans. External unfair pressure is forcing our film to be postponed.
