Saivam to clash with Jigarthanda on June 27?

Director Vijay’s Saivam is all set to hit screens on June 27. The buzz is that Karthik Subburaj’s much-awaited gangster musical Jigarthanda would also get release on June 27. Produced by Kathiresan of Aadukalam fame, the movie features Siddharth and Lakshmi Menon in lead roles and Simha in a pivotal role. The expectations have are huge for the film, thanks to the phenomenal success of Karthik’s debut film Pizza.

Saivam has Deivathirumagal fame Saara playing the central character in the film. The film also has Nasser playing an important role. It has already received good accolades from the censor board and is one of the eagerly awaited films since it is an offbeat tale unlike Vijay’s previous projects. Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Red Giant Movies has bought the distribution rights for Saivam.
