Why Thirumanam Enum Nikkah was delayed?

Thirumanam Enum Nikkah is about the love story of a Iyengar boy and a Muslim girl. Thirumanam Enum Nikkah is produced by Aascar Films and directed by Anees. It features Nazriya Nazim opposite Jai for the first time. Technically, this is the first film for which Nazriya signed on the dotted lines, but the film was delayed for more than two years. The film which was earlier scheduled to be released this Thursday has again been postponed without any announcement on the further release date.

“We shot in real locations and had to wait for festivals. I shot Ramzan and other Muslim festivals in Calicut. And, we shot Avani Avittam and other Hindu festivals on the streets of Mylapore and Royapettah. Our entire crew turned vegetarian when we filmed the portions of Iyengar scenes in the movie and we ate Biriyani when we filmed the portions of Muslim festivals,” says Directed Anees citing reasons behind the movie’s delay.
