When SS Rajamouli was locked inside a room to watch a Gautham Menon film

SS Rajamouli revealed an interesting nugget at a function recently organized by the LV Prasad Film and TV Academy where he shared the dias with Gautham Menon. “My son asked me to watch Ye Maaya Chesave. But, romance is not my type of film. But, one day he literally locked me inside a room with the film’s DVD and asked me to watch. I loved the character of ‘Jessie’. I don’t know how to describe her characterisation in words. I obversed myself comparing with the characters in the film which really pulled me in,” said Rajamouli.

Gautham Menon, after flashing a huge smile, said, “Your son has had a Jessie in his life. May be, you never had a Jessie in your life. There are a lot of Jessies in the world. I love women and I respect them.” Gautham Menon also suggested Rajamouli to watch Vinnaithaani Varuvaaya where he had filmed a lot of candid shots between Trisha and Simbu.
