“We are instructed by our London HQ to halt future projects until clarity on LBET”
Speaking at the 3D Digital Meet for theater owners and exhibitors, Raju Mahalingam, Creative Head of Lyca Productions, said, “We have been instructed by our London headquarters to halt future projects until there is clarity on LBET (Local Bodies Entertainment Tax) in Tamil Nadu.”
“2.o is produced at a budget of Rs. 400 crores. We hope to see more screens in Tamil Nadu and across 3D-equipped before the movie’s release in 2018. We have already received inquiries from various Chinese distributors, who have expressed interest in the project,” said Raju.
