Vishal’s Chakra to be a thematic sequel to Irumbu Thirai

At the start, Vishal’s upcoming film in Chakra was literally called Irumbu Thirai 2 with some netizens calling it out as the continuation of the Mithran directorial. However, in a recent interview, the actor has confirmed that the film is not a continuation, and is only a thematic sequel to Irumbu Thirai.

Chakra is reportedly based on the scams that take place in the world of e-commerce and cyber crime. The film which is directed by Anandan stars Shraddha Srinath as the female lead and has Regina Cassandra in an important role.
