Vijay Sethupathi is upset with makers of Edakku

Vijay Sethupathi played the role of villain’s son in a Kannada film titled Aakhaada seven years back. He didn’t even know the film was released back then. He appears in only four scenes in the film. Now, the makers have released the first-look posters of the film featuring Vijay Sethupathi and are planning to release the dubbed version in Tamil titled ‘Edakku’. But, this cheap publicity tactic has not gone down well with Vijay.

“Seven years ago, I acted in this Kannada film. I will be seen only in a few scenes. I am concerned about the audience. They shouldn’t feel cheated after watching the film as I have not even dubbed for the film in Tami. I have no complaints about it being released here, but I am disappointed that my stills have been used to promote it,” says Vijay Sethupathi.
