Kamal Haasan had announced a few months back that he would revive one of his dream projects Thalaivan Irukkindraan, which will be written and directed by him. AR Rahman was signed to compose the music for the film, which was supposed to be produced by Lyca Productions and Raaj Kamal Films International.
Now, the grapevine in Kollywood is abuzz with reports that Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi has been approached to play a significant role in the movie. There are also rumors that Thalaivan Irukkindraan could be a sequel to Thevar Magan. However, a source close to Haasan’s camp totally denies the news.
Four years back, an official announcement on Thalaivan Irukkindraan was made and the film was put on the backburner. Haasan then announced the film as a Tamil-Hindi bilingual. It was slated as a dual hero starrer, with Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan sharing screen space with Kamal Haasan.
