Vetrimaran – Attakathi Dinesh’s ‘Visaranai’ is a one-hour film

Director Vetrimaran has long been absent in Tamil cinema since his last national award-winning film Aadukalam in 2011 with Dhanush. However, he co-wrote the screenplay and penned dialogues for his associate Manimaaran’s debut film Udhayam NH4 last year. His next project with Attakathi Dinesh is reportedly titled Visaranai and the film’s runtime will be around one-hour, a path-breaking idea in Tamil cinema. Sources say his upcoming film with Dhanush Soodhadi will go on the floors only after Vetri completes Visaranai.

Meanwhile, Dhanush is on the verge of completing his Hindi film Shamitabh and will commence shooting his yet-untitled flick with Balaji Mohan next month. Dhanush will be paired with Kajal Aggarwal for the first time. He will be shuttling between Vetrimaran and Balaji Mohan’s films once the former completes Visaranai, says a source in the know.
