“Vetrimaaran has always been there during my successes and failures”

Speaking at the press meet of Kodi, director Vetrimaaran revealed that when he was in a tight situation, he requested Dhanush to do a film under his production Grass Root Film Company and he immediately agreed. “After Balu Mahendra sir, it is Dhanush for me. So many things that happened to me in the film industry are only because of Dhanush. We are all very happy with the movie. I’m just a namesake producer. Madan is the pillar of the movie,” said Vetrimaaran.

Dhanush acknowledged Vetrimaaran’s gratitude and said, “I don’t know what to talk about Vetri. But since he has revealed something on stage, I’m obliged to speak now. I have many friends in the industry. But, Vetrimaaran has always been there during my successes, failures and heartbreak moments. Words can’t express how grateful I’m to him.”

Dhanush has completed dubbing for Kodi, which is slated to hit screens for Diwali.
