Vasundhara Parameshwar was not written for Rajinikanth, clarifies Kajol

Bollywood actress Kajol, who is returning to Tamil cinema after two decades with ‘Velai Illa Pattathari 2‘ (VIP 2), has denied reports that her role ‘Vasundhara Parameshwar’ in the film was initially written for Superstar Rajinikanth.

Vasundhara Parameshwar was always a female character. It was always written with a ‘woman’ in mind,” said Kajol at the press meet of the film in Chennai.

“VIP 2 is a fantastic team. It’s been an amazing journey working in Tamil cinema after so long. I had a great time and made some great friends. I was treated very kindly and warmly by everyone from the team. I thank Soundarya and Dhanush for taking the time and trouble to help me and make me look good on screen. Producer Thanu was very kind and accommodating in assisting me to shuttle between Mumbai and Chennai so many times during the shoot,” said Kajol.
