Superstar Rajinikanth confirms Lyca bankrolling Ponniyin Selvan

Speaking at the audio launch of Kaappaan, Superstar Rajinikanth confirmed that Lyca is bankrolling Mani Ratnam’s next magnum-opus Ponniyin Selvan. There were reports in a section of media that the project could be dropped by Lyca due to financial crunch. However, Rajinikanth’s confirmation at the event has put an end to all the rumors.

Chiyaan Vikram, Nayanthara, Anushka Shetty, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Keerthy Suresh, and Aishwarya Rai play significant roles in the film, which will have music composed by AR Rahman. Ponniyin Selvan is expected to kickstart towards the end of the year.
