Udhay’s Nimir confirms Jan 26th release
After initially announcing a Jan 26th release, the team of Udhaynidhi Stalin’s Nimir were contemplating a push in the date, as many films were crowding for the spot in Tamil Nadu. However, the team has confirmed that the film will release as planned on the 26th of January.
Nimir is Priyadarshan’s return to direction in Tamil after his Kanchivaram back in 2008. Touted to be an official remake of the Malayalam hit Maheshinte Prathikaaram, Nimir has Parvati Nair, Samudhrakani, Mahendran and many others in the cast.
Priyadarshan’s other Tamil film Sila Nerangalil, despite being ready, is still going round to film festivals worldwide and is yet to see a theatrical release.
