Third clash between Vijay and Vishal: Bairavaa vs Kaththi Sandai for Pongal
Due to effects of demonetization, the makers of Vishal, Tamannaah-starrer Kaththi Sandai have postponed the film’s release to Pongal 2017. Vijay’s much-awaited commercial pot-boiler Bairavaa is also gearing up for Pongal release and this marks the third straight clash between Vijay and Vishal.
Earlier, in 2007, Vijay and Vishal took head-on at the box office when Pokkiri and Thamirabharani released for Pongal along with Ajith’s Aazhwar. The second instance happened when Vijay’s Kaththi and Vishal’s Poojai confronted at the ticket window.
Directed by Suraj and produced by Madras Enterprises, Kaththi Sandai also has Vadivelu and Soori to provide comic relief. The film will be released by Cameo Films India in Tamil Nadu.
