Surya sings a romantic song in Anjaan

Director Lingusamy earlier said in an interview that Surya will croon for a song in Anjaan. But then, there was no news about the same. Now, it’s become official that Surya will lend his voice for a romantic number set to the tunes of Yuvan Shankar Raja with lyrics by Na. Muthukumar. Though he has already sung for a TVC, this song marks Surya’s debut in singing for films.

The song begins with the line Ek Do Teen Chaar and it was already shot on Surya and Samantha in Panchgani, Maharashtra. The romantic number was canned with a dummy voice earlier. Now, Surya’s voice will replace the dummy track this week. “Suriya was immediately game for singing in the film when we told him the idea. He even started practising the number. Once this song gets recorded, the entire album will be ready . We are planning to launch the music in a grand manner later this month,” says producer Subash Chandrabose of Thirupathi Brothers.

The grand audio launch for the film is scheduled on July 17th and the first look teaser will be unveiled in Vijay Awards on July 5th.
