The theatrical rights for Suriya’s 24 have been reportedly acquired by Brunda Associates for Rs. 6 crores including both Tamil and Telugu versions. Apparently, this is a benchmark when you exclude the non-Rajinikanth, non-Shankar films in Tamil. Lingaa, I and Endhiran are the top three Tamil films whose rights were bagged for whopping amounts in Karnataka.
With the film’s post production in full swing, the makers are trying to release the film for Pongal festival, 2016. Directed by Vikram Kumar of Manam and Yaavarum Nalam fame, 24 stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu as the lead heroine. Nithya Menen plays an important role. It has music composed by AR Rahman.
