Suresh Raina set to make his acting debut in Tamil with DKS Production’s Cricket film!
In a surprising and exciting announcement, former Indian cricketer and Chennai Super Kings icon Suresh Raina is all set to make his acting debut with a cricket-based film produced by Dream Knight Stories (DKS). The production house, founded by Saravana Kumar, was officially launched in Chennai on Friday, with CSK all-rounder Shivam Dube unveiling its name and logo.
Raina, fondly known as “Chinna Thala” by fans, joined the event virtually from Amsterdam, where he is vacationing with his family. He expressed regret for missing the launch but shared his excitement about the project. “The story was close to us, and since it’s about cricket, starting from Tamil Nadu makes sense. CSK fans have shown immense love over the years,” Raina said.
When asked about his on-screen persona, Raina humorously claimed he’d be a “romantic singer,” strumming a guitar and enjoying rasam rice with teammates, while Dube had earlier quipped he’d be a “romantic hero.”
Helmed by director Logan, the film will feature a lineup of cricketers, with the full cast to be announced soon. Backed by a top-tier technical team, the project includes cinematographer Sandeep K Vijay, production designer T Muthuraj, and Oscar-winning sound designer Resul Pookutty. With music composed by Santosh Narayanan, the film promises a high-quality and memorable cinematic debut for Suresh Raina.
