SN Rajarajan acquires TN and overseas rights for Baahubali 2

Producer SN Rajarajan of K Productions, who earlier bankrolled Savaale Samaali, has acquired the TN and overseas rights for SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali 2, according to a statement. The Tamil and Telugu versions of Baahubali 2 will be released by SN Rajarajan in Tamil Nadu. Also, the Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam versions of the film in overseas will also be released by K Productions. Reliable sources say the TN deal was secured for a massive sum of Rs. 45 crores. Baahubali 2 is all set for worldwide release on April 28th, 2017.

It must be noted that SN Rajarajan is also bankrolling director Kazhugu fame Sathyashiva’s Madai Thiranthu, a period drama set in 1940s which stars Rana Daggubati, Regina Cassandra and Sathyaraj in important roles. Yuvan Shankar Raja composes music for the project.
