Producer contemplates defamation suit against Karthik Subbaraj

After Karthik Subbaraj resorted to legal action demanding his share for the remake rights of Jigarthanda in Hindi, now producer Five Star Kathiresan says he is contemplating to file defamation suit against Karthik. Sources say the petition filed by Karthik to issue interim stay order against selling the film’s remake rights has been lifted.

“I have already lost Rs. 1.5 crore for the delay in shooting. In addition, I have lost Rs. 3.5 crores from the Telugu rights because of his remarks on us. I’m going to file a defamation suit for Rs. 5 crores against Karthik,” said Kathiresan.
