Priyadarshan to direct Surya?

The latest news from the tinsel town is that ace filmmaker Priyadarshan and Surya may join hands for a new project. Lastly, Priyadarshan directed Prakash Raj in Kancheevaram in 2008. Though the film miserably failed at the box-office, it received widespread appreciation from everyone and went on to garner two national awards including the Best Actor award for Prakash Raj.

The hearsay has it that Priyadarshan is planning a bi-lingual and Fahadh Fazil will reprise Surya’s role in Malayalam. Though Priyadarshan has made few films in K’town including Laysa Laysa, Snegithiye and Kopura Vaasalile, the director is known for his classic work in Siraichaalai. Surya is now waiting for the audio release of Anjaan which has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. He’s likely to begin shooting for his next project with Venkat Prabhu in June.
