Film-friendly OST

Papanasam is a film-friendly album which will sync in style with the visuals onscreen. However, Ghibran has a thing or two to keep you occupied until the film comes out.

Cast: Kamal Haasan, Gauthami

Music: Ghibran

Lyrics: Na Muthukumar

Direction: Jeethu Joseph

Label: Think Music

Yeya En Kottikaaraa: Singers – Sundar Narayana Rao, Malavika Anilkumar

Na.Muthukumar’s lovely lyrics take centerstage in this beaut of a feel-good orchestration setup. The music is simple but harmless, and that’s what is makes it so efficient. Our PICK!

Vinaa Vinaa: Singer – Hariharan

Ghibran brings all his skill to the fore with a concoction of different tunes, along with Hariharan’s earthy voice. The rock slide in the middle is the best part of the track, pure class. However, this song will get accessible only with the visuals.

Themes

Papanasam Theme: Strings and the occasional chords compile this title theme which does have a slight Uttama Villain hangover.

Kill for Life: Ghibran brings in a thrilling aura with a basic tune which does impress.

The Bond of Family: A long drawn out theme with a small twist.

A Sinking Car: A mysterious loop is what Ghibran spins off here, finishing off pretty nicely.

The Police Investigation: A superbly orchestrated tune which receives some next level treatment.

This is Me: Ghibran ends the album on a Hollywood-ish note with a theme which does pull in a few goosebumps. The chorus too, is amazingly drafted in.
