No new Tamil film releases from October 6th until double taxation issue resolves

Until the double taxation issue in Tamil Nadu gets resolved, there will not be any new Tamil film releases from October 6th, informed Tamil Film Producers’ Council through an official statement. Already, national players like Inox Movies and PVR Cinemas have shut down stating the double taxation issue in Tamil Nadu.

As the stalemate between TN government and the Tamil film industry continues, an important meeting of the Theater Owners Association will happen today, after which an official statement from exhibitors will be made.
