Mani Ratnam’s Okay Kanmani becomes ‘Oh Kadhal Kanmani’

Mani Ratnam’s upcoming film, earlier titled as Okay Kanmani, has got a new name Oh Kadhal Kanmani. Sources say the prompt move is to make use of tax exemption offered by the state for Tamil. Oh Kadhal Kanmani is currently onto its post-production stage and the makers are targeting summer for release.

The film, which was shot at a breakneck speed, is said to be Mani Ratnam’s quickest project. Starring Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya Menen in lead roles, this Tamil-Malayalam bi-lingual is touted to be a breezy romantic entertainer on the lines of Alaipayuthey. It also marks the comeback of ace cinematographer PC Sreeram and Mani Ratnam after Alaipayuthey. AR Rahman composes music for the film.
