Mani Ratnam praises Shamitabh

While Dhanush’s sophomore Hindi film Shamitabh has been getting mixed reviews from critics and film buffs, there is an unequivocal praise across-the-board for Dhanush and Amitabh Bachchan’s staggering performances in the film. Ace film-maker Mani Ratnam has apparently texted Dhanush and lauded him for his performance.

“Mani Ratnam Sir texted me to tell me how much he liked Shamitabh .Such praise means a lot to any artiste,” says Dhanush who rejected nearly 33 scripts from Bollywood before finalizing Balki’s.

Dhanush’s next film Anegan hits cinemas on February 13th.
