Keerthy Suresh and Samantha on board Savitri biopic

Keerthy Suresh has been roped in for Mahanati, a biopic on the legendary actress Savitri where Keerthy will play the role of the yesteryear actress. The project, which will be helmed by Telugu director Nag Ashwin of Yevade Subramanyam fame, will be made as a bi-lingual in Tamil and Telugu.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu will be seen in a pivotal role in the project. Sources confirm that the story of Savitri will be narrated from Samantha’s character’s perspective. The shooting is expected to kickstart sometime in February. An official confirmation is awaited.
