Kavalthurai Ungal Nanban bags Best Film – Jury award at Indian World Film Festival

Kavalthurai Ungal Nanban, a film on police brutality, has bagged the Best Film – Jury award out of 420 films screened at the Indian World Film Festival in Hyderabad.

Kavalthurai Ungal Nanban is a film that will create a debate for sure. It has been made based on the events that took place in the lives of the director & actor  Suresh Ravi,” said writer Gnanakaravel.

“So many films have portrayed the police department in a heroic and positive fashion. Kavalthurai Ungal Nanban will portray a side of the police department in a very realistic way,” said director RDM at the press meet.

Producer G. Dhananjayan of Creative Entertainers and Distributors has acquired the rights of the film and will be releasing it across the state with the maximum number of screens possible. The film directed by RDM has Sun Music VJ Suresh Ravi and Raveena Ravi in the lead roles.

The film, which is slated to hit screens on March 20th, is said to be based on many true events that took place in Tamil Nadu over the past 2 years.
