Nagarjuna, who plays the role of a quadriplegic in Thozha, has dubbed in his own voice for the film. “It was Karthi who encouraged me to dub in Tamil, too, as he felt that dubbing in my own voice would give the character more depth, and that way, the audience will be able to connect to the film better,” says Nagarjuna.
Nagarjuna also revealed that Thozha, which will also release simultaneously in Telugu as Oopiri, was properly shot as a bi-lingual. Apparently, the makers shot every scene in Tamil first and then in Telugu. The film’s audio composed by Gopi Sundar will be launched on February 26. Produced by PVP Cinema and directed by Vamshi, Thozha is slated to hit cinemas on March 25th.
