“I’m a regular patron of Mahesh Babu’s films,” says Shankar

Director Shankar was the chief guest of Mahesh Babu’s Aagudu which happened yesterday. The film’s music composer Thaman was launched by Shankar as an actor in his musical drama Boys years back. Shankar recalled how he auditioned for Boys for he played drums exceptionally well. “He has come to this level now. I’m really happy and proud of him. His songs resemble both class and mass. Even now, I was listening to Dookudu soundtrack in my car,” said Shankar speaking at the audio launch.

Shankar was quite lavish in his praise for Mahesh Babu. “I haven’t seen Mahesh Babu’s films before. But, after his Okkadu, it’s changed. I have been regularly watching all his films thereafter and become his regular patron. Dookudu is my favorite film. He has an extraordinary screenpresence and portrays a gamut of emotions with ease and in perfect measure,” said Shankar as Mahesh Babu watched him quietly standing alongside.
